All stencils are manufactured from Low Density Polyethylene Plastic ( LDPE ). LDPE is certainly reusable, easily cleaned and is the popular choice among pavement marking companies. Choose either 60 Mil thick = 1/16″ for occasional use or 125 Mil thick = 1/8″ for professional use. Try not to buy anything thinner than the 60 Mil material. I’ve been striping parking lots for (28) years and all of my own, personal parking lot stencils are 125 Mil thickness. BUT…for occasional use, the 60 Mil thickness will serve you well.

Notes…
The most common size is the 12″ height. These can be easily seen from a distance while driving. Widths here are 8″ and the spacing in between is 3″. Again, easily readable. Our edge distances here, are 2″ above and below and 2.5″ on each side. I own this set ranging from 01 to 78. I spray (10) rows every several years.
Another note…I lay a long, tight rope along the bottom of each stall. I use this as a guide. Lay the stencils along this line and spray. All your stencils will be lined up, pretty and straight…and…it’s quick. If I am spraying several, perhaps just (5), “Worded” stencils in a row, such as; VISITOR, I can snap a chalk line to effect this same, nice looking job. I do have a client that has 30+ VISITOR stencils, another with (50) VALET ONLY stencils. I can use a “Long Rope” or if you’re fortunate enough to own a laser, use that to effect a quick, nicely looking stencil job.
Last…with “Doubles” there’s almost no wiping down. Stencils will not get drippy because the 33 is sprayed once instead of spraying the single digit number (3), many times. I hope that makes sense. I hope I helped. If you have any questions, please call. 614.237.8884 Thanks again. Dan
