NO PARKING Stencil
This is our NO PARKING Stencil. This stencil is a (1) piece stencil or (2). Sizes range from letters that are 4″ tall x 3″ wide…up to letters that are 24″ tall x 12″ wide. Proper width, spacing and brush stroke of the letters, makes it easy to read from a distance while driving. Nothing squished. Our “Edge Distances” are bigger than most. Our stencils are manufactured from Low Density Polyethylene Plastic ( LDPE ). LDPE is certainly reusable, easily cleaned and is the popular choice among pavement marking companies. Choose either 60 Mil thick = 1/16″ for occasional use or 125 Mil thick = 1/8″ for professional use. Try not to buy anything thinner than 60 Mil. It tends to be flimsy / flutter and may be overpriced. I’ve been striping parking lots for (30) years and all of my own, personal parking lot stencils are 125 Mil. BUT…for occasional use, the 60 Mil will serve you well.
As a note…
The 12″ NO PARKING Stencil is the most popular, for a few reasons: (1) This is the best size for; Easy To Read From A Distance While Driving. (2) The unwritten rule for pavement marking is this; you can always go a little bigger, but be careful going smaller. In other words…if I have a 10″ NO PARKING Stencil, on the lot, to re spray, I lay my 12″ NO PARKING Stencil on top, right where it goes, trace around that perimeter, I then slide my stencil aside and hand roll that rectangle using gray. ( “Gray it Out”. ) ( 9″ roller from a (5) gallon bucket. ) Then, in moments, when all is dry, I replace my stencil on the gray rectangle and spray using my 12″ NO PARKING Stencil. It’ll be centered, by default. I hope that all helps. ( You can always go a little bigger. DON’T gray out a 10″ NO PARKING Stencil and re spray a 6″ NO PARKING Stencil…you may get complaints ! )
MORE…the 12″ NO PARKING Stencil spans 90″. Most stalls in the U.S. span 108″. ( It’ll fit. ) And, it’s (1) piece.
