Railroad Crossing R Stencil
This is our Railroad Crossing R Stencil. There are many different roadways around our country, therefore, sizes are semi unique. The font however, is not. We offer the 72″ Tall x 16″ Wide version which has the required, unique font. This size is easily seen from a distance and certainly recognized. Add 3″, all around for Edge Distances. We don’t offer the “X” that sometimes accompanies this “R”. Because roadways differ, that “X” pavement marking is accomplished by laying out the X and striping / painting / spraying. Questions ? All stencils are manufactured from Low Density Polyethylene Plastic ( LDPE ). LDPE is certainly reusable, easily cleaned and is the popular choice among pavement marking companies. Our “Edge Distances” are also bigger than most. It’s not just about over spray protection, it’s about strength. Choose either 60 Mil thick = 1/16″ for occasional use or 125 mil thick = 1/8″ for professional use. Try not to buy anything thinner than 60 Mil material. I’ve been striping parking lots for (29) years and all of my own, personal parking lot stencils are 125 Mil. BUT…for occasional use, the 60 Mil will serve you well.

A NOTE…
…this is perhaps unnecessary…but, I lay out the “X”, when required, and snap chalk lines on both sides of the legs before anything gets sprayed. My first layout needed an adjustment, before I sprayed. I hope that helps some.
