This particular Electric Car Parking Lot Stencil measures 54″ left to right and 24.75″ tall. Edge Distances are an additional 3″ all around. It isn’t just about overspray protection, it’s also about strength.
Our stencils are manufactured from Low Density Polyethylene Plastic ( LDPE ). LDPE is certainly reusable, easily cleaned and is the popular choice among pavement marking companies. Choose either 60 Mil thick material = 1/16″ for occasional use or 125 mil thick material = 1/8″ for professional use. Try not to buy anything thinner than 60 Mil. I’ve been striping parking lots for (28) years and all of my own, personal stencils are the 125 Mil = 1/8″ thick material but, for occasional use, our 60 Mil = 1/16″ thick material will serve you well.
Notes…I’ve seen this stencil with a green background. Here’s how that’s done; someone will snap a chalk line along the bottom / start of the parking lot stripes. They’ll lay this stencil along that snapped chalk line, right where it belongs and trace around the perimeter. The next step is to slide the stencil aside and hand paint / roll inside that drawn rectangle, the color of choice. Again, I’ve seen green. Once that color is dry, the stencil would be replaced, centered onto the green background and sprayed with the color of choice. ( I’ve seen white. ) You decide. I hope I helped some.
