These are simple arcs, portions of arcs, for Basketball Court Stencils.
We offer (3) different Basketball Court Stencils. We offer a Top of The Key, a College (3) Point Line and a High School (3) Point Line.
As a note, I am tempted to remove these stencils. I’ve been striping for (28) years and I’ve striped many basketball courts. That said, you still need to lay out the arcs. That process is certainly “do-able” but, then you lay a stencil on a portion and spray. Then, move the stencil and spray again…repeat.
Friend, I am on your side here, I would not stripe this, like this.
1st, note the “bridges”. I would need to touch those up by hand.
2nd, after a few “sprays”, the stencil itself gets too drippy.
3rd, did I mention that if my layout is 1/2″ off, the stencil will not exactly follow. It’ll still be fine…but…I say that to say this…; A Friend of mine has a court in the back yard. She and I spoke with her (2) boys and they did the work without a stencil. Spraying straight lines is easy enough. And, after laying out the (3) part line, using a piece of chalk, they masked off ( using masking tape ) …that chalk line…twice = both sides, that was a better choice. And, there’s no “drippy” stencil or following back up with a touch up brush.
Friend, buy this if you want. But, I have confidence in you, that you can do the procedure without a stencil…and…by hand is no harder…and…I would argue…a bit easier.
Notes…
Here’s another thought…I’ve striped some courts that do not have the space to install the correct (3) Point dimension. So, 1st…get the dimensions via online. See if your court can hold that. If not, don’t buy this stencil. That said, lay it out to fit your particular court. I’ve made the straight sections, that run parallel to the side, out of bounds, just wide enough to fit my shoes = 12″ in bounds. I also extended that straight line well beyond the “proper” dimensions before I stared the arc. It was fine. It was for a Swim Club Pool. They loved it. They were happy to have a (3) point line.

Last, if you choose to buy, maybe, maybe…because the stencil will get drippy, maybe consider the heavier material = 1/8″ = 125 Mil. To read more on stencils; Read My Blog. I hope I helped. Thanks again. Dan
